Me Boomkin Tanking Vex, Heroic Mag T

Nothing going on, so i figured i’d post something, its been a while anyways.

Been playing WoW a lot lately, working on gearing my druid more and more for raids. Right now he has 1626 unbuffed spell power while not it boomkin form, 257 hit, and about 19% crit (again, while not in boomkin), sp and crit both go up a bit when i switch to boomkin. Right now im just working on trying to find upgrades for the gear that i have that is either blue and or not level 80. If you look at him (delkavar) you’ll notice that he has several pieces that are cloth, and i know that druid’s can wear leather, but from what i have found in wotlk, most of the spell power related gear outside of 10 & 25 man raids, is focused on healing, or is just made up with int, stam, spir, and sp. Even if i “should” be wearing leather, so what? the only think im loosing going with cloth is some armor, and i really don’t care about armor, im kind of out of the phase where i wan to boomkin tank everything, though at the end i will post a pic of me tanking vex(while very easy, it was a lot of fun to see how big i got while taking most of the debuffs he/she put on ppl during the fight). My friend and i basically 2 manned the entire place on heroic, the DK in the grp helped a bit on the 5man boss, and killed the eggs when we were on kael’thas. Other than gear, ive been mainly focusing on getting him as many achievements as i can. recently, ive been working on getting the ambassador title, by getting all 5 horde factions to exalted, im 19k with darkspear, about 17k with silvermoon, and i think 12k with undercity, and in the process im kind of working on the azeroth loremaster achievement, but for now thats not my concern. Right now my druid rocks the guardian on cenarius title, but i also have the explorer title(got that at 70, w/o having a flying mount, and i died many times trying to run past level 80 mobs in ice crown and storm peaks, hots helped a lot here). And finally i have the jenkins title, which was somewhat fun to do. Im also working on getting the 50 non-combat pet achievement, right now im 4 pets away, and if i get lucky i could have that acheievement done soon as im reveared with oracle or sholazar basin and have one of their pets from the egg already, and i have a friend who is willing to trade me for the tickbird hatching if i get it on the next go around, thank god they aren’t BoP, so i can trade/sell the ones i already have.

Finally a break from that paragraph, lolz. My druid has been my main focus so far with the expansion, but i have been somewhat working on my mage, got him to 71, but i think im just going to relear hunter, and get him exalted with the horde expedition so i can my the chopper for my druid, and some of my friends if they get me the mats, which is why im going to drop tailoring on my druid and pick up mining so i can have his titansteel cd as well. It will also be very easy for me to level my mining once i get to Outland and Northrend as i have my swift flight form now.

I have also started to play and really enjoy Warhammer online, right now i have a level 12 shaman on the sylvania server. Its been a lot of fun despite being a healer, and not haveing that great dps, and i get by pretty well with my heals helping my attacks and my attacks helping my heals. Plus my morale heal is rape, so i usually have no problem taking on challenging level 15 or w/e mobs, even some at level champs. Other than him i have a level 5 marauder and a level 1 sorc, not really leveling those, as my shaman is in a little 3man static party, with a dark orc tank and a sqig herder for dps, and with the instand cast damage i get from healing i do some dps as well.

Other than that, not much else going on, just waiting for some of the snow to melt so i can actually get out of my driveway, this is why i didn’t go to school today, but oh well nothing really happens on the first day anyways, so im not missing much. Not much dj’ing going on either, since the winter break, but soon i should have a few jobs with schools in the area doing their first dance of the new year, and other things, so it should be a good year for my business, now its all about profit since i have a great set of gear for events, i won’t be needing to buy and major items, so all the money i make can just go to paying taxes and paying me. I also ordered some teas from adagioteas.com that im going to try out today, it will be a nice change from drinking so much energy drinks everyday. Im also excited to get my rick steves complete show dvd set, all 82 shows i guess, it should be cool to watch them, got the new 12 show pack for christmas, and that was great, especially seeing the little speech he gave at some convention. Thats all for now, just going to listen to some music while i work on getting my shaman to level 13, then ill probably get back on the rep grind with horde factions and do all the dailies i can to get some cash for pots and stuff for raids and what not.

Its been a while since my last post, been really busy lately, haven’t really found the time to post, but now im up at 4am, and i don’t think im getting any sleep tonight, so i might as well post something.

I have been dj’ing a lot more now that the schools in my area are back in session, so ive done a ton of dances, and several homecoming dances including my old high school’s this saturday. The summer break, while not jobless did make me somewhat forget why i love dj’ing, but doing an early homecoming dance, brought it right back. Its the time midway through the dance, when i start dropping the big crowd favorites, and everyone is on the dance floor dancing, and they are all have a great time, and just stopping at any moment to ask how everyone is doing, resulting in loud screams by everyone, really makes all the hard work worth it. The other events have been good as well, i was able to run sound at a romanian wedding, it was really interesting to see how their wedding traditions differ from ours. Other than that, its been a great few months of work.

I finally got my mage to 70, making him my 3rd 70, and earlier today i got another piece of gear made, bracers of nimble thought, were actually pretty easy to get the mats for. Since the patch nerfed BT, there were 4 Hearts of Darkness on the AH for 50 gold each, pre patch, 4 would cost 400 gold. got the spellcloth on what i think was a mistake by the poster selling 4 spellcloth for the price on 1. I also have the spellstrike set, the belt of blasting, and the blade of wizardry. I have been working on grinding heroic magister’s terrace for the spellblade from Selin, which will easily replace the blade i have, and then ill save badges for the fetish of the primal gods offhand thing, then ill be set for a while. Im taking him to Kara tonight with my guild so i should get some good gear there, and probably some T4. Not much else going on, still working with builds for my hunter, and no i don’t have a core hound, i really don’t like them all that much, though i think im going for the devilsaur in un’goro crater. The thing i want to know is that if i use that ability to train exotic pets, will i loose the pet if i change spec after getting the pet. No big changes in any of my other character, but my druid is back to boomkin from a short time as feral to MT ZA when our tanks didn’t have enough health to take the cleave of halazzi, i can get over 21k HP with that last standish druid ability.

Not much else going on, taking critical reasoning, intro to insurance, and survey of anthropology at BCC this quarter which might be my last, im thinking of transfering to another community college that has a good sound engineering program.

I think now that ive been up for a bit, i might just go back to sleep, its 4:40, and i have to be up around 7am, so i still can get some sleep, plus im not that tired so it should be fine, then off to my critical reasoning course (the only one i have on campus), then back home to work on playlists for the homecoming dance this weekend, and probably work on cleaning my room a bit, working on a setup for 5.1 speakers, and i need to figure out how it all will work.

I think im going to start lableing my posts with the post number, and i just checked the stats and this post will be the 214th post on my blog. Pretty low, though usually, i only post when something big/cool happens and druing the IMBC, so whatever

Not much going on, right now im just finishing up my english 221 final thing, not a normal timed test (its online), its a word document i downloaded, and has 5 questions and 2 extra credit questions. Nothing too hard, more hard than i would like, but i think i will do well on this one. Basically the questions involve taking everything that i have learned this quarter, and writing it down, using the terminology i learned through the various small assignments. My philosophy 102 final went well, i got an A- in the class, which is what i expected, though i wish i could have seen my test score to see what essayish questions i got right, usually with this teacher, i seem to get the essay questions wrong but everything else right. Thats what happened with this quarter’s mid term and the mid term and final of last quarter. I also got 91/100 on the final paper, which is a lot better than some of the scores i saw while the professor was going through the papers looking for mine, several had D’s and F’s, which is funny, this class is almost an automatic A if you pay attention and take good notes, and do a little studying. My psychology final went fine, had plenty of time to go over all my answers and make sure they were all right. Funny thing is that the professor has been MIA for most of the quarter, and some of the students are in contact with the dean and head of the psychology department. It will be interesting to see what happens, i sent my final paper in, but have yet to get mine back to rewrite and turn in the final version. And its not just me, a bunch of the other students have been talking about this as well. Hopefully i get a pass or something on this paper, my grade shouldn’t be affected by this teachers lack of responsibility when it comes to online classes. Maybe this teacher should take the advice of the counselors, that online classes aren’t for everyone and if you don’t have the motivation to work alone with no classmate interaction as normal class would, the you shouldn’t do the online classes.

Not much going on with WoW, my druid is now 68 and has flight form, its really nice, now i can do so many quests faster by just flying to the final mob that needs to be killed rather than walking all the way there. I have started to work on my shaman a bit more, he is level 13 right now, with the LAN this weekend, ill probably have him to 18-20. I also am starting to work more on my mage, i just switched him from alc-herb to herb-tailor. I grinded him to the 225/225 cap and have to be 35 to go on, so im working on that. I also need to start grinding BGs more to save up for season 2, which i heard is coming out in 2 weeks or something, oh well i won’t get them on the day, but it shouldn’t take too long, considering i can usualy get 6-8 (sometimes 10k) honor a day if i just grind the BGs. Im also going to start them on my druid, grind the honor in my feral dps gear, and buy the boomkin gear, and go boomkin once i hit 70. I still haven’t decided if im definitly going this way, i might just stay feral, and start tanking or something. Not that big of a deal, but its cool for me, my 68 druid, unbuffed, has 10k health in bear form. (unbuffed, no MotW) all it took were 2 10stam armor kits on 2 pieces of un-enchanted gear. My druid’s enchanting is also at 350 now. I just need to start doing more instances to get the better enchants and also work on rep to get those ones as well.

Im out of the IMBC, forgot to post yesterday, was too busy staying 30-0 in Counter Strike Source Gun Game to post. oh well, it was fun, and just to clarify, Tim, i won the year before last, tied w/ Full Absolution, and last year i was in the top 3 i think. better luck next year i guess. Thats all i have, gonna go download all the new addons i need for wow, finally got it reinstalled on my computer (been playing on my macbook) and i just need to get the mods, nothing fancy, just titan(ammo, $, bag, xp(alts) cal), one bag(all bags open as one) Omen2(threat meter) Recount (dmg meter, omen can do it, but i like recount for instance/raid totals) Auctioneer, Informant(i think it comes with Auc. but im not sure, gives enhanced tooltips about items) Cartographer (better map, instance/raid maps( i need a better one for some raids) and it does notes for places on the map as well as waypoints) Thats about all the addons i use, oh, i use capping to tell me things when im in BGs, flag holder, capture times, win times, start times, etc) Im also going to try this one, i think its called bongos, just adds sizeable action bars, i need more room for INC tells in BG, and for other things.

Not much going on, just waiting for World of Warcraft to finsh downloading, right now its at 84%, so ill probably be able to play on my desktop sometime late tonight or tomorrow. In the mean time, im going to write this, do my introduction for my psycholgy class, figure out what i need to do for my plot summary in the popular lit class, and find out what book is next, and get a head start on reading it. For a bit, i was super worried about it, but i figure that if i do well on every other assignment (not hard) ill do fine, im trying to keep my A average, which is nice, and for me kind of surprising, so im trying to keep it that way.

Not much else going on, i can’t wait for both my guitar hero 3 to come in as well as the root beer bawls, which later on, after it gets in, ill post a bit about it, and how good it is, and how you should all go out and get some.

Everything else is the same from the last post, i guess one more person is out of the IMBC now, its surprising, this short amount of time into the IMBC, and now there are just 10 people left, it will be interesting to see if anyone (besides me of course, lol) are still around at the end of the month, making a prediction here, i wouldn’t be surprised, if there were only 2-3 people left at the end of this month, i think those people would be me, tim, amy, and maybe one of the new people. I can’t wait to see.

I really don’t have anything else to talk about, im pretty bored, and im thinking about going on, and playing some gun game, if my computer can handle it, running the wow downloader thing and counter stike, oh, and i guess the wow downloader is now up to 85%, slowly but (hopefully) surely. Class was good today, talked about the moral law and moral agent of some guy, it was pretty interesting, id get my notes and talk about exactly what was going on, but im too lazy right now. Unfortunantly, that i guy i have been talking about didn’t speek up at all today, not even before class, it was sad, no fun that day.

Topic of the Day : Disgusting

I don’t really know what to say about disgusting, all the people that smoke right by the bus stop covered thing, when there are 3 really big signs that say no smoking, especially when i have a sinus cold thing. Thats all i can really think of right now, thats the main thing thats in my mind, there were a bunch of people at the bus stop smoking (i have no problem if they choose to) but when it says no smoking within 50 feet or w/e, that means no smoking, standing outside the covered thing isn’t 50 feet, thats 5 inches, its kind of funny to hear some of them talk, they chain smoke at the bus stop and wonder why they have lung problems( again, im not making fun of those of you who smoke, some people are just funny like that) personally i don’t understand why anyone smokes, someone who does tell me why you started, i mean, really what benefit does smoking have.

Not much new going on, slept pretty well, despite waking up a dozen or so times throughout the night. I also made the mistake of turning off the light to rest better, i slept through the rest of monday missing the deadline for the 2nd book test, whats worse, i was really getting into the book, it was really easy for me to read, oh well, ill definitly do better next time. My psychology class just started up, so im going to post my introduction pretty soon, probably when im on campus ill do it on my laptop in the cafateria. Thats pretty much it involving school. I finally got a version of windows that works, my friend, had a copy, and just dropped it off at my house, its a nice version, all my drives were automatically detected when i installed it, and it was really easy to get the drivers up, and my computer back to how i like it. I just need to install a few more programs that i use everyonce and a while, like open office, what happens is i usually just use the portable version i have on my pen drive, and just save everything to that, but i would like to have the full version on my computer. I also need to reinstall World of Warcraft, which i might end up putting on my 2nd drive, just so if this happens again, i just need to recopy the shortcut, and im good to go. I have Counter Stike Source, and vent up so tomorrow, ill be able to do something while i wait for wow to get done, which i might start up just as i leave for school, so it won’t be affecting my game play, not that it really matters, im always lagged out at home, so more lag wouldn’t make a difference.

Not much has been going on in WoW, despite having it not on my computer any more i did play some on my laptop, but i didn’t get anything done. I need to start doing all the dailies i can do on my main, he has under 100g, and i need to get that up, just so i can finance my other characters(which i shouldn’t, but i do anyways) im also thinking of making a twink and going pro with it, not just staying at 19, with good gear, im talking, the best gear a lvl 19 rogue can get, with all the best enchants, though since my shaman is higher i might just take him to 29, have the wolf thing, make it easier to run flags, but idk, i haven’t decided if im even going to be doing a twink, it just takes so much time, and to do it right takes a lot of gold to buy runs, and get the good enchants.

ToD: People met on public transit

Ive met some pretty interesting people while on the bus, some crazies, and some clients for my dj business. Its always interesting when i ride the bus, i see some pretty wierd people. There are also some people who i talk with on a regular basis simply because we ride the bus from BCC to issaquah everyday at the same time, and there are some people that everyone seems to have heard of, like this one guy who might be a bit crazy, but jumps around all over the place listening to some type of music, but he won’t let you see his face, if you make eye contact, he’ll pull his cd player in front of his face.

Thats all i have for now, i need to get ready for school, get my laptop in the bag, and everything from my normal bag into my laptop bag, so i can use it at school. I also need to figure out what book we are reading next for my english class, and get that out of the bag from the bookstore, and start reading that, just so i have a head start, im a slow reader, so i guess its good that i take more time than the 3 days given, and yes i could read the book in that time, i just can’t see myself sitting there for the hours it would take to read the entire book in one sitting or over 3-4 sittings, for me i like to read a few chapters now, several later, and so on.

Not much new going on, just got back from school and lunch at the mongolian grill, it was pretty good, had the usual, the yellowish noodles, beef, green peppers, some corn, lots of pineapple, and some sweet and sour sauce. School was fine, the guy who kept talking all this random crap wasn’t here again, i think he might have dropped the class, and that makes me sad, it was so funny when he tried to tell us how blind people are really blind, no i mean they can’t see, and when they try and use the cross walk they are blind too. I don’t know where he gets all this stuff but its funny

Now that im home, i just need to find my xp cd so i can reinstall windows, i was using my friends 64bit edition for a lan party i went to, but now the 30 days are up, and i need to get mine back, problem is, i can’t find the disk, so i need to do some hard looking for it, so i can get everything back up and running for when guitar hero 3 comes in, on Wednesday, along with my root beer bawls. I also want to get back into playing CSS gun game, which has been what i have been doing a lot lately, i also want to get back into wow on my computer rather than my laptop which im on now.

Thats all i have for now, just need to find that disc, reinstall, get the basics up and get gaming, i also need to continue reading the murder of roger ackroyd and take the test by 11pm tonight. Also tonight im going to get back into watching the shows i like, scrubs, how its made, rick steves, and the others, which for the past few weeks have been missed due to playing CSS & WoW as soon as i get home or after i fall asleep, and have already missed the shows, plus im back on a normal schedule (for now) and that will help in preventing me from missing those shows, though soon i wont have to worry, im making my old computer into a DVR, so i can just record those shows and watch them when i have the time to do so.

I don’t do the bad ones(though i suppose in some contexts they are all bad) but you know what im talking about, had plent of chances to do them but i never wanted to, thats just how it is i guess for me, i could push myself to do them, but in the end there will always be that voice saying what are you going to gain from this, i know you get the good feeling for a while, but then you come down, and its back to normal, and then you want more and more and then you die, i don’t want that happening any time soon, so i just stay away, and let others who really want to do them, do them.

ToD: Super Powers

Just thinking about it now, i can’t come up with any that id really like to have, or atleast i can’t come up with reasons why, i guess flying would be cool, like the druid flight form, that would be sweet, jump off a building switch, and fly away, and then right before it get hit by another bird flying around, be tossed into combat, and fall to your death, lol. Night vision, not really a superpower, but night vision, like having goggles, but without the weight of the goggles themselves, and having it run forever, and be able to just turn them on with the thought. Those are the only ones i can come up with there are obviously others, that i can think of, but i don’t have reasons for them so i won’t post about them

Off to play some CSS Gun Game, with a friend.

Im back, at first, i hated playing gun game, thought it was stupid, but now after playing for a while it has gotten more and more fun with each round. IF you don’t know what GG is, basically it is a mod for CSS, and you play like a normal match except, each kill(at least on the WS servers) you get a new gun, and you continue on, you lose a level if you get knifed, and FF is turned on, so that addded what i didn’t really like about it, not that i constantly TK, its just that when im low on health, i tend to just spray, so if i kill one guy, and im low, chances are that i will spray the next guy i see unless it shows blue, or red if im on T.  Im also trying to join the WS group, they seem to be really cool people to play with.

Not much else going on, when i get this done, i need to hook up my AC unit to the window so i can use something other than just the fan, and keep my room cold even with the computer on. Im also going to order Guitar Hero 3 for PC, so i can start playing GH again, and then i need to get these mana vials, which are just some lquid with a bunch of caffine in them, like 151ml, with 160mg of caffine in them. I also might buy a case of Bawls’ new root beer, actually im going to buy them, get two things of caffine in one order will be nice when they come in. I also will pick up some more of the space food ice cream they have, i ordered some a while ago and it was really good.

So the mini lan party went pretty well, which will lead into what i have to say for today’s topic of the day:latest thing to piss me off:

I have nothing against Halo, I even had some fun playing it, but when a lan party is supposed to be WoW, i hate it when the majority of the time, people are playing Halo. It was pretty stupid, we were all talking like this would be a night full of wow, and it ended up being a night full of halo, up until 2am, and then we did play WoW, but then around 6am, they started to play halo again. Then, they were all bitching how im not being real group like, and leveling on my own, when i should wait for them, but they did the same thing back when we were just starting out, i had to get some sleep one night around 9pm, because i was so tired, but they continued to play, and got to around 18 or so, and im just catching up. Whatever, still got to 20 on my pally, and got about 2k honor on my main, and worked on my mage’s herb/alc, and leveled my warrior a bit.

Not much else going on, i just got up, so im still a bit drowsy, but im up. After i post this though i think im going to lie back down and watch some tv, while i begin to fully get up. After that, then im going to get my computer out of the car, and set it up so i can get back into the game for tomorrow night, where i hope we can run through a few instances, or atleast a few instance runs. Another thing that is pissing me off is the way that the two people i have talked about in previous posts about thinking they know all about the paladin, and maybe im wrong, but i always thought a tank needed stamina, but lol, i guess im wrong about that, i guess pallys just need strength and intellect, i don’t know, lol, despite what they say, im still going to use the 3, strength, stamina, and intellect. I hate being mana dependent, but ill give it a try, it has been pretty fun so far, and the two that have pallys say that it will get a lot more fun later on as i get more spells which reminds me, i need to go the the pally trainer to get my level 20 spells which i think means i guess that ground AoE thing, that should be fun.

Not much else going on, not doing anything more this weekend, i was going to go to another lan party and this one is guarenteed to be just wow, but im think ill still be tired, and not end up going, oh well, the friend that is putting it one says they do them all the time, so there will be plenty for me to go to, i think he said something like every sunday around 2, which works really well for me, so when i do go it should be cool.

Im going to start out with the topic of the day.

ToD: Your Job

My job is being a mobile dj/sound engineer. I own my own company DJ Bigman’s Mobile DJ Service, and basically what i do is dj parties & school dances as well as running sound for weddings and corporate events. I have a full PA system, as well as lights. Its pretty cool, working for myself, and i love doing it, dj’ing and all. Thats basically it, soon im going to change the name to something like DJ Bigman Productions, mainly because im not just a dj, i do other things, and i want the company name to reflect that. Im also considering becoming a LLC, just to deal with liability of things, i guess, im not sure yet. I have a website, you can check it out at djbigmanmobiledj.com.

Not much going on, just took down my computer and have it ready to take it over to my friend’s house for our little lan party, where we are going to mainly be playing WoW, but im going to make sure we get some Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike Source in. I have been getting a lot better at both games. In Counter Strike Source, i usually use the Awp, but when that is banned, or limited, i use the scout and take headshots down mid or B tunnels in Dust 2 as well as office, down that long hallway as either CT or T, doesn’t matter. I still do grab my favorite, the M249, and lay down that cover fire, lol, and no i don’t spray and pray, only when im flashed or smoked, gotten lucky headshots that way before. In TF2, i usually do either engineer and get massive amounts of kills on the custom map Mach4 with the turrets, i am also getting a lot better as a medic, and thats what i usually play, im also getting good with the sniper and as spy. Same with CSS, i am really good with the heavy, and when im with a medic, its just massive carnage.

With TF2 in mind, i heard of this BS thing they did with the latest patch, if 2 medics go uber or are uber at the same time, the time it takes for that uber to run out is greatly decreased, so having 3 medics go uber at the same time will make their uber wear out faster than if there were just one medic.

Same old same old in wow, nothing new going on, though i haven’t played any today, i just wanted to take a break before this weekend so i don’t get overly bored with the game, which happens a lot since it is now one of the main games i play in my free time, and when i make time for it. Thats one thing that differs i guess from gamers like me and the casual gamer. For me, part of my day is spent gaming, while with others, IF they have free time, they game. I make sure that i have atleast a few hours to play games each day, and not just when i have time, outside of the other things that i spend time doing.

Thats all that is really going on, there was a slight change of plans, so im not going over to my friends house until around 5:15 or so, so i have about a hour to do w/e, mainly posting this, because if i wait, it won’t get done, and i don’t want to be out of the IMBC so early, if im not the winner, i definitly will be one of the last people, maybe it will be a tie in june, like the year before last with Full Absolution (i can’t remember how its spelled, sry FA) and I. That was long and drawn out, but we finally did agree to just call it quits. I remember that year well because i think it was Hank’s mom or someone, bought (at least me) a light up mouse pad thing, im not sure what FA got, but i thought it was really cool. I guess i never really said it, but thanks Hank’s Mom (of who ever bought it) for the cool mouse pad, even now i still use it.

Thats all i have for now, i just got done patching wow on my laptop, so im going to check my mail and auctions on a few of my characters, and then check to see if i have everything and get them in the car to be ready to leave.
